ENEL and GE sign deal on energy efficiency projects

Enel SpA (BIT: ENEL), Italy's biggest utility by market value, has announced it had signed a deal with General Electric Co. (GE) to seek out partnerships for energy efficiency projects in Italy.

Dow Jones reports that in a statement, Enel said the agreement between its distribution unit and GE will last until December 2014 and target projects that cut carbon dioxide emissions.
