Vestas wins 254 MW Brazilian wind order

A world leading wind turbine maker, Denmark’s Vestas, has been awawarded a supply and installation contract for 254 MW of new wind capacity in Brazil, ENP Newswire reports.

The order covers 127 of its V100-2.0 MW turbine for the wind power complexes Campos dos Ventos and Sao Benedito -  both located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.

The order was placed by CPFL Renovaveis, a compnay created by the merger of CPFL Energia’s renewable assets and ERSA Energias Renovaveis.

The agreement comprises delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, installation of a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a ten-year service contract.
