Vestas to facilitate one of Europe's largest wind farms

Vestas has received a wind power order for 23 V112-3.0 MW wind turbines from Arise Windpower AB and Platina Partners LLP for the Jädraås wind farm in Sweden.

The planned investment for Phase 2 of the Jädraås wind farm, involving the construction of a further 70 MW (23 wind turbines), has now been taken.

Phase 1 comprises 130 MW (43 wind turbines) and construction is proceeding as planned. The total investment for Phase 1 and 2 is SEK 3.1 billion.

The Jädraås wind farm is one of northern Europe's largest onshore wind farms with a planned annual production of 560 GWh of renewable electricity, of which Arise will account for half.

When the Jädraås wind farm is fully operational in spring 2013 Arise will have 240 MW in operation with a total annual production of about 640 GWh of renewable electricity, including the company's share in the Jädraås project.
