DTE Energy Marks Commercial Operation of 50-MW Wind Facility

DTE Energy announced the official commissioning of the 50-MW Pinnebog Wind Park in Huron County, Michigan.

Pinnebog, an expansion of the existing Echo Wind Park, consists of 30 turbines. Now, DTE Energy owns or operates 13 wind facilities in Michigan, as well as 28 solar arrays.

“DTE Energy is Michigan’s largest producer of renewable energy and among the top producers nationally,” said Irene Dimitry, vice president of Business Planning and Development, DTE Energy. “We view renewable energy as an important part of a diversified and balanced energy portfolio. Projects like this increase our renewable energy generation capacity and our ability to provide our customers with energy that is affordable, reliable and clean.”

DTE Generated over 10 percent of its energy from renewable sources in 2015.
