AEP Ohio has issued two RFPs for wind and solar energy projects to be developed in Ohio.
The company seeks proposals of up to 250 MW of wind energy and up to 100 MW of solar energy proposals, with a minimum capacity of 10 MW for both. Preference will be given to solar projects that are situated in the Appalachian area, create permanent manufacturing jobs and commit to hiring Ohio military veterans.
Proposals are due February 16. More information is available here.
AEP Ohio has an agreement with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to develop 500 MW of new wind generation and 400 MW of solar generation.
