OCI Solar Power has filed a request with the Public Utilities Commission of Texas to sell the Alamo 6 solar facility to a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.

A sales price was not disclosed for the 110.2-MW Alamo 6, which is under construction in Pecos County, the San Antonio Business Journal reported. CPS Energy has a contract to purchase the energy it generates.

The request to the utilities commission, written by attorney Katherine Coleman on behalf of Alamo 6 Solar Holdings LLC, requested the matter be posted for consideration at the commission’s Dec. 16 meeting due to the time-sensitive nature of the transaction.

Alamo 6 Solar Holdings LLC is owned by BHE Solar LLC, which is owned by BHE Renewables LLC, which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway Energy Co., which is a subsidiary of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc.

OCI Solar Power has sold a number of the solar facilities it has built near San Antonio.
