NJR Clean Energy Ventures Commissions 39.3-MW Wind Facility in Pennsylvania

New Jersey Resources Clean Energy Ventures announced it has commissioned the 39.9-MW Ringer Hill Wind Farm.

The facility, constructed 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, includes 14 wind turbines supplied by GE.

Iron Mountain Incorporated, a storage and information management provider, has purchased 26.6 MW in a 15-year agreement to support its data center business.

“With the successful completion of Ringer Hill - our fifth onshore wind project - wind now accounts for 50 percent of our clean energy portfolio,” said Laurence M. Downes, chairman and CEO of New Jersey Resources. “As we continue to invest in and grow our business, we are making clean energy even more accessible in today’s marketplace.”

NJR also has divisions devoted to transporting and storing natural gas as well as providing service contracts to residential customers in New Jersey.
