PSEG Acquires 6.6-MW Facility In North Carolina

PSEG Solar Source announced it has acquired a 6.6-MW solar energy facility from BayWa r.e. Solar Projects for $12.2 million.

The facility, now known as PSEG Hemlock Solar Energy Center, is under construction in Northampton County, North Carolina, and should begin official operations by the end of the year.

The facility already has a 15-year power purchase agreement with Virginia Electric and Power Co.

BayWa r.e. will continue construction and will operate the project on completion.

PSEG now owns 20 utility-scale projects in 13 states, with 215 MW in operation with another 135 MW to be finished by the end of the year.
