Goldwind Americas to Provide 1,870 MW of Wind Turbines to Viridis Eolia

Goldwind Americas, a subsidiary of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology, announced an agreement with Viridis Eolia to supply 1,870 MW of Goldwind Permanent Magnet Direct Drive wind turbines to the company’s Wyoming wind facility.

The Viridis Eolia Master Plan will be a 1,870-MW wind project in Carbon County, Wyoming, that is being developed in phases. Goldwind will supply 2.5-MW and 3-MW wind turbines.

The first phase of Viridis Eolia, consisting of 32.5 MW, will be developed by Little Medicine Bow Wind S LLC and should be operational by 2017. Additional phases will come online in 2018 through 2022.
