Immediately after announcing the commercial operation of the 200-MW Tranquillity solar power project in California, Recurrent Energy announced a 15-year power purchase agreement for 100 MW from the nearby Tranquility 8 development with MCE, California’s first operating community choice aggregation program.
The electricity generated at sthe 100-MW Tranquillity 8 is expected to power 48,300 homes.
Construction of Tranquillity 8 is expected to begin in 2017 and the project will begin providing power to MCE by late 2018.
