EDF Renewable Services Takes on 200 MW Solar Portfolio

EDF Renewable Services provides operations and maintenance services to over 1 GW of solar throughout North America.

San Diego-based EDF Renewable Services has assumed asset management and O&M services on a 200 MW portfolio of solar developments across the nation.

The portfolio includes 206 solar projects spanning 13 states from New Jersey to Hawaii, and ranges in capacity from 46 KW to 25 MW.

In a press release, EDF noted the management and O&M agreements were negotiated by the project lessor to ensure seamless operations even during a performance disruption of the service providers.

EDF, a third-party provider of operations and maintenance services, continues to expand into solar. In April, the company acquired solar engineering and construction firm groSolar as a wholly-owned subsidiary. EDF Renewable Services now provides operations and maintenance services to over 1 GW of solar throughout North America.

Earlier this year, EDF Renewable Energy signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with Southern California Edison for power generated at the 111.2-MW Valentine Solar Project.
