Nominate a Project or Woman of the Year

Power Generation Week Awards

The Call for Nominations for the 2016 Power Engineering/Renewable Energy World Projects of the Year Awards has been extended until Friday, Sept. 9!

That means you have more time to nominate any project sited anywhere in the world for Best Coal, Best Renewable Energy, Best Natural Gas, Best Nuclear and Best CHP by visiting http://www.powergenerationweek.com/awards.html. Projects must have come online between August 1, 2015 and July 31, 2016 to be eligible.

The nominations are judged by the editors of PennWell based on several criteria, including innovation, the impact on the community where it is sited, and any logistical hurdles overcome to reach completion.

Along the same lines, if you know a woman who works in the power generation industry, nominate her for a Power Generation Week Woman of the Year Award. The award is given each year to inspire young women to pursue careers in energy by commending highly successful women in the industry. Nominations are scored by the Women in Power Committee based on several criteria, including the nominee’s significant accomplishments in her organization and personal life, and any challenges she may have had to overcome personally or in her field in order to advance. To submit a nomination for the Woman of the Year Award, go to http://www.powergenerationweek.com/awards/wotyform.html.

Good luck to everyone!
