GE Power to Supply Gas Turbine for Cogen Power Plant

GE Power (NYSE: GE) will supply an aeroderivative gas turbine and long-term services for a natural gas cogeneration plant at a Mexican paper manufacturer.

Bio-PAPPEL’s San Juan del Rio paper mill will use the plant to generate electricity and heat for the factory. GE Power will deliver an LM2500+ aeroderivative gas turbine and a 20+ multiyear services agreement to help improve reliability and availability of the turbine and paper production. GE will provide remote monitoring and diagnostics-based condition monitoring of the turbine.

The unit is expected to begin commercial operation in first quarter 2017.
