Jacobs to Provide Coal Ash Consulting Services

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) will provide analysis and consulting services to City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri, in order to comply with new coal combustion residuals (CCR) regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The three-year, $4.9 million contract has two, three-year options. As part of the contract, Jacobs will support a comprehensive compliance approach to address landfills and surface impoundments impacted by EPA’s rule. Services include site planning, geophysical and environmental investigations, compliance recommendations and development of control plans.

The CCR Rule took effect on Oct. 19, 2015.
