NuScale Power Names Former Areva Exec. VP of Engineering

NuScale names Robert Gamble VP of Engineering

Small modular reactor developer NuScale Power announced that Robert Gamble has joined the company from Areva Solar.

Gamble was named Vice President of Engineering for NuScale. He comes from Areva Solar where he just completed design, construction, commissioning and startup of a 125-MW thermal solar plant as the VP of Engineering and GM for North America Operations. Prior to working at Areva, Gamble worked for General Electric (NYSE: GE) for 21 years in several roles including Vice President, Mechanical Design and Analysis Group; Program Manager, Economic Simplified Boiling Water Reactor (ESBWR); Engineering Manager, ESBWR as well as various engineering roles on advanced boiling water design certification and sodium fast reactor designs.

Gamble received his PhD, MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Areva Executive Management Training Program.
