Southwest Power Pool files interconnection agreement for wind project

The Southwest Power Pool on April 12 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Generator Interconnection Agreement with Rush County Wind Farm LLC and with ITC Great Plains LLC as the interconnecting transmission owner.

Rush County plans to construct a 99-MW wind facility, which will consist of 33 Siemens SWT108 3.0 MW wind turbine generators. The point of interconnection will be at ITC’s new 345-kV substation, located on the Spearville-Post Rock 345-kV line in Rush County, Kansas.

The project's targeted commercial operation date is Nov. 30, 2018.
