SolarWorld Supplies California Water District with 4 Solar Power Projects

SolarWorld said it supplied four, 1-MW solar power systems for California’s Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD).

The four systems use 72-cell SolarWorld solar panels mounted on NEXTracker single-axis trackers. They are located at EMWD’s desalter facility in Menifee and regional waste water-treatment facilities in San Jacinto, Moreno Valley and Perris Valley. The systems will enable the facilities to offset peak power demand.

Stronghold Engineering Inc. was EMWD’s selected design-build contractor on the four projects. Parsons Corp. supported the agency’s field engineering division on the suite of projects.
