EnergySolutions, Japan Atomic Power Co. Team on Nuclear Decommissioning

EnergySolutions Inc. signed a collaborative agreement with The Japan Atomic Power Co. (JAPC) to decommission light water nuclear reactors in Japan.

As part of the agreement, EnergySolutions will share its decommissioning and decontamination (D&D) experience with JAPC for use at the Tsuruga Unit 1. JAPC personnel will participate in the D&D project currently being performed at the Zion Nuclear Power Station in Illinois managed by EnergySolutions. Subsequently, EnergySolutions personnel will join JAPC on the Tsuruga 1 project.
