Canadian Solar wins Mexico solar power plant

Canadian Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: CSIQ) won a 63-MW solar power project in Mexico.

Canadian Solar will develop and build the solar project. Once it is connected to the grid, the generated electricity will be sold to Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) under a 15-year power purchase agreement for energy and capacity and 20-year Clean Energy Certificates at approximately US$47.95 per megawatt-hour.

The project is expected to be connected to the grid in September 2018.
