Sungevity and CleanSpark have announced a partnership that includes CleanSpark’s cyber-secure energy monitoring and management software with Sungevity’s commercial solar offerings.
The partnership makes CleanSpark’s technology available to Sungevity’s commercial customers with access to real-time system monitoring.
The partnership was piloted in California during the fourth quarter of 2015. It’s scheduled to roll out completely in the same region by summer 2016, with additional markets to follow.
According to GTM Research, the U.S. microgrid market will increase 300 percent over the next five years, hitting $1 billion by 2020.
The Sungevity/CleanSpark partnership is expected to help drive microgrid adoption while capitalizing on the growth in this segment through a standardized offering, as commercial and industrial solar customers leverage the two companies’ technologies to lower energy costs, increase energy independence and reduce carbon emissions.
