Entergy Names Former Hinkley Point C Director as Chief Nuclear Officer

Entergy (NYSE: ETR) named A. Christopher Bakken III as executive vice president and chief nuclear officer, effective April 6.
Bakken replaces Jeff Forbes, who announced his retirement last year. Since 2011, Bakken has been executive director, EDF Energy Nuclear New Build and Project Director for Hinkley Point C, based in London. He led the design, licensing, procurement, construction and commission of the dual-unit European Pressurized Reactor project. He joined the company in 2009 as director of operations, safety and licensing. Prior to joining EDF Energy, Bakken served as CNO, Region 1, for British Energy from 2006-2009.  He has also held positions at PSEG and American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP).
Tim Mitchell, currently acting CNO, returns to his position as senior vice president responsible for nuclear facilities. Mitchell joined Entergy in 1989 as a plant engineer at Arkansas Nuclear One.
