sPower Plans 700 MW of Utility-Scale Solar in 2016

Sustainable Power Group (sPower) has entered a contract with Rosendin Electric Inc. (REI) to develop nearly 700 MW of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in 2016.

Construction on the new projects begin in January with completion and grid connection expected between April and December.

“We are thrilled to team with sPower,” said David Lincoln, vice president of REI’s Renewable Energy Group.  “This agreement represents a significant portion of solar within our renewables group.  sPower projects will have our full attention.”

JinkoSolar will supply up to 1,000 MW of solar PV modules for the projects.
