 Siemens Supplying Turbines for 2 Wind Projects in Ireland

Siemens (NYSE: SI) has received orders for two wind projects in Ireland.

The Cloosh Valley Wind Farm, an expansion of Galway Wind Park near Rosscahill, County Galway, will feature 36 Siemens D3 direct drive wind turbines, adding 108 MW to Ireland’s renewable energy capacity.

The second order, bound for the Irish Sliabh Bawn Wind Farm in County Roscommon, includes 20 SWT-3.2-101 wind turbines.

Commissioning for both projects is scheduled for 2017, and both orders include 15-year service agreements.
