Pattern Energy Group Completes 150-MW Wind Energy Farm

Pattern Energy Group Inc. completed construction of a 150-MW wind energy farm in Indiana.
The Amazon Wind Farm Fowler Ridge plant will sell all of its output to Amazon Web Services. It consists of 65 Siemens (NYSE: SI) 2.3-MW wind turbines. The turbine blades, nacelles, towers and transformers were manufactured in the U.S.
Up to 300 workers were on site at peak construction, which was managed by Mortenson Construction. There are 10 full-time workers operating and maintaining the facility. Pattern Energy acquired the Amazon Wind Farm Fowler Ridge from Pattern Energy Group LP in April 2015. All of Pattern Energy’s 16 wind power facilities are now fully operational.
