 Huntington Wind Projects Begin Construction

D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments LLC (DESRI) and Oregon Windfarms LLC (OWF) started construction of five wind farms known collectively as the Huntington Wind projects in Oregon.
The 10-MW project developed by OWF has 20-year power purchase agreements with Idaho Power Co. General Electric (NYSE: GE) will provide five, 2-MW wind turbines.
KeyBank N.A. and CIT Bank N.A. provided the senior debt financing for the projects, alongside a commitment for tax equity financing from U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corp. When financing closed in mid-November, 2015, construction began in late December with commercial operations set for late 2016. Site Constructors Inc. will serve as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractors for the projects.
