Dominion Sells 172-MW Solar Generating Capacity to SunEdison

Dominion (NYSE: D) has completed the sale of a third its 425-MW generating capacity at nine sites in California, Utah and Georgia.

SunEdison purchased 172-MW ownership interest in the solar facilities.  The second and final phase closed for about $120 million.  The first phase closed in December for about $180 million.

Dominion, which has a generating capacity of about 24,400 MW across the U.S., says it plans to pay off debt with the proceeds.
