Curtiss-Wright to Supply AP1000 Nuclear Reactor Coolant Pumps

Curtiss-Wright Corp. (NYSE: CW) was awarded a $450 million contract to provide AP1000 reactor coolant pumps for power plant sites in China.
The contracts with Harbin Electric Power Equipment Co. Ltd. and Shenyang Blower Works Nuclear Pump Co. Ltd. call for 16 coolant pumps for various AP1000 plant sites. The contracts have a total potential value of approximately $500 million, including incentives. Shipments are not expected to begin until 2019.
Under a 2007 contract, the company is shipping 16 RCPs for the Sanmen 1 and 2 and Haiyang 1 and 2 projects. Curtiss-Wright completed the shipment of the first pair of RCPs for Sanmen 1 in November, and expects to ship the remaining 12 RCPs under the original contract during 2016.
