Peach Bottom 2 nuclear unit returns to service

Exelon (NYSE: EXC) brought the Peach Bottom 2 nuclear power plant back to full power Thursday after a maintenance outage.

The plant was shut down Dec. 14 while technicians inspected, repaired and tested a steam valve before returning the unit to service.

Peach Bottom 3 operated at full power. The two boiling water reactors generate 2,700-MW of electricity.
