 GE Announces New Company Officer Appointments

GE (NYSE:GE) on Tuesday named four new company officers, whose appointments are effective Jan. 1, 2016.

Steve Hartman was named vice president and chief technology officer of engineering for GE Power’s Power Services group.  Hartman joined GE in 1998 and served in various leadership positions with GE Power prior to his new appointment.

Danielle Merfeld in the new vice president of the Niskayuna Technology Center and technical director of electrical technologies and systems.  With GE since 1999, Merfeld has held several technology leadership roles within GE Global Research and GE Power.

Tom Mitchell was named vice president of sourcing for GE Healthcare.  Since 1992, Mitchell has held leadership roles in GE Aviation, Transportation, Oil & Gas and Global Growth Organization, most recently serving as senior executive of manufacturing for GE Power’s Distributed Power group.

Uwem Ukpong joins GE as president and chief executive officer for GE Oil & Gas’ Surface Product Company.  Ukpong previously worked for Schlumberger for more than two decades.
