Amec Foster Wheeler to Supply HRSGs to Cogeneration Power Plant in Mexico

Amec Foster Wheeler was awarded two contracts by Iberdrola Generación México S.A. de C.V. for the design and supply of two heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) in Mexico.

Amec Foster Wheeler will design, supply and provide erection and commissioning assistance for HRSGs at two cogeneration facilities: the Iberdrola San Juan Del Rio cogeneration facility in Querataro, and the Iberdrola Altamira cogeneration facility in Altamira.

The HRSGs will be installed behind GE (NYSE: GE) Frame 6F gas turbines to recover the exhaust waste heat from the gas turbines and use it to generate steam for process and additional power. Both facilities are expected to be operational in 2017.
