Rolls-Royce Unit to Supply Diesel Gensets to Turkish Medical Centers

A Rolls-Royce subsidiary will supply 56 MW of diesel gensets for standby power for the health campuses of the Turkish Ministry of Health.
The 10 16-cylinder MTU Onsite Energy Series 4000 diesel gensets and one 8-cylinder Series 1600 unit are to be supplied to the DIA Holding construction company for Mersin in the south of Turkey this month.

MTU Onsite Energy will also supply 14 16-cylinder and five 12-cylinder Series 4000 units to Bilkent in Ankara in February 2016.
The Turkish Ministry of Health is investing in a total of 35 health campuses across the country by the end of 2018. Each project requires a diesel genset output of 20 to 30 MW. Turkish legislation stipulates that the power supply to hospitals in Turkey must be provided with 100 percent backup by emergency gensets.
