 Investment Company Buys Share of Renewables Unit for $150 Million

Alberta Investment Management Corp. (AIMCo) acquired an 8 percent stake in TransAlta Renewables Inc. for $150.4 million from TransAlta Corp.

With the stake, AIMCo becomes the second-largest shareholder in TransAlta Renewables.  The deal is expected to close Nov. 26.
