Michigan Cogeneration Power Plant Owner Sold

ArcLight Capital Partners LLC said its two business units will sell its indirect interests in Michigan Power LP LLC to a subsidiary of Rockland Power Partners II LP.
Michigan Power LP owns a 125-MW natural gas-fired combined-cycle cogeneration power plant in Michigan. The plant sells 100 percent of its electric output to Consumers Energy Co. under a long-term power purchase agreement. The plant also supplies steam and compressed air to Occidental Chemical Corp.’s Ludington plant under terms of a steam sales agreement.
The deal is expected to close by year end following receipt of customary approvals.
