 EthosEnergy to Help in Coal-to-Gas Conversion Project

Alliant Energy awarded a multimillion-dollar contract to EthosEnergy to provide fuel conversion, equipment upgrade and associated construction work on a coal-fired power plant in Iowa.
The conversion project at the Sutherland Generating Stationcalls for the conversion of six Pratt & Whitney FT4C3F turbines from liquid fuel to natural gas fuel, overhaul of the combustion turbines, generator inspections, turbine and plant control upgrades, turnkey engineering, procurement and construction and associated start-up and commissioning work.
EthosEnergy will provide engineering design, the overhaul and upgrade of the gas turbine, retrofitting controls, inspecting the generator and installing new balance of plant equipment for the Sutherland plant.
