EnSync Inc., a provider of energy management systems, has named two new executives.
Jim Schott joins EnSync as chief financial officer. With a background in accounting, finance and investor and analyst relations, Schott most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of Integrys Energy Group.
As EnSync CFO, Schott will oversee all finance and accounting activities and will be in charge of the company’s investor relations function.
Rick Whisman, founder of the California-based solar project development company Sol Patch Resources, joins EnSync as the new vice president of sales.
Whisman has a background in solar project development for commercial and industrial (C&I) building customers. He served as manager of project development at Powerlight Corporation and director of commercial accounts for the Americas at Sunpower Corporation.
Over the past 10 months, EnSync closed a number of contracts for distributed energy generation systems, services and components, the majority in the C&I building market segment.
