Day & Zimmermann Wins Maintenance Contract at Cooper Nuclear Station

Day & Zimmermann announced its engineering, construction and maintenance (ECM) group has won a four-year contract for maintenance and modification services at the 810-MW Cooper Nuclear Station in Nebraska.

The nuclear plant is the largest single-unit facility in the state, and is owned by Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD), with whom Day & Zimmermann have held contracts for 11 years.
"We're proud to extend our decade-long relationship with NPPD and are committed to continue to reduce outage durations and increase productivity at Cooper," said Michael P. McMahon, president of ECM at Day & Zimmermann.
NPPD is the largest electric utility in Nebraska, serving 600,000 customers across the state.
