Vestas Wins 102-MW Management Contract

Vestas has been chosen by Renewable Energy Trust (RET) Capital to manage its recent acquisition, the 102-MW Coram wind project in Calif.  Vestas will now manage on-site assets and maintain surveillance, reporting to the power purchaser Pacific Gas & Electric.
Per the agreement, Vestas will also be responsible for maintenance of balance-of-plant electrical and meteorological equipment, as well as management of wildlife and vegetation.
Located in the Tehachapi Mountains, the Coram project actually occupies two separate locations, comprised 34 Vestas V90 3.0 MW turbines on 80-meter towers.
