Atlantic Wind & Solar Subsidiary Begins Construction on 320-KW Utility-Scale Solar Plant in Ontario

Construction is underway in Burlington, Ontario on a $2 million utility-scale solar plant.

The Atlantic Solar Inc. project includes the commercial rooftop installation of 1,488 panels.  The plant is expected to produce nearly 8,000 megawatt-hours of clean reliable energy over the next 20 years.  The power will be sold under Ontario’s Feed-In-Tariff program.

Atlantic Solar Inc. is the Canadian subsidiary of Atlantic Wind & Solar Inc., a developer of utility-scale renewable energy plants.

The company has more than 1 GW of projects in various stages of development in Canada, South America, South Asia and the Caribbean.
