Areva Nuclear Inspection Tools Receive EPRI Qualification

Areva nuclear inspection tools receive EPRI qualification

The U.S. Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) qualified three of Areva’s automated inspection tools for examining nuclear steam generators.
Areva’s AIDA3, MIRA3, and WTT tools have all received EPRI’s Automated Analysis Performance Demonstration Database (AAPDD) qualification and are now available to the U.S. nuclear energy market.
The tools are designed to mimic human data analysis at accelerated computer speeds, which provides repeatability and reliability in nuclear steam generator eddy current non-destructive examination.
