SunEdison completes Florida solar power project

SunEdison Inc. (NYSE: SUNE) completed construction of a 6-MW solar power plant that will supply power to Lakeland Electric in Florida.

TerraForm Power Inc. (Nasdaq: TERP) acquired the project upon its completion from its Call Rights Projects list. The project will supply its output to Lakeland Electric under a 25-year power purchase agreement. SunEdison has completed three other projects for Lakeland Electric and is developing two more. The total solar power capacity of the portfolio under the Master Agreement is expected to be 24 MW.

SunEdison Services will perform operation and maintenance of the solar plant.
