SRV buys stake in nuclear power plant

SRV purchased a 1.8 percent stake in a nuclear power project in Finland.

SRV signed a project management contract with plant provider Rusatom Overseas and contractor Titan-2 for the Hahnkivi 1 nuclear power project, to be operated by Fennovoima. Fortum and Outokumpu also have shares or increased existing shares of Voimaosakeyhtiö SF, the project’s principal shareholder. Fortum will take a 6.6 percent stake, and Outokumpu increased its stake from 12.3 percent to 14.1 percent and increased its investment from $228 million to $272 million.
