EPC contracts signed for natural gas-fired power plants for $550 M

EPC contracts signed for combined-cycle natural gas-fired power plants in Ohio North Carolina

Gemma Power Systems LLC signed two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts worth $550 million with two units of NTE Energy for two natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plants.

The company signed the contracts with NTE Ohio LLC and NTE Carolinas LLC  to begin early site activities for two 475-MW gas-fired plants. The Middletown Energy Center will be in Middletown, Ohio, and the Kings Mountain Energy Center will be in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

Both plants are scheduled for completion in spring 2018.
