Dominion buys EDF Renewable Energy solar power project

EDF Renewable Energy closed on the sale of a 24.3-MW solar power project in California to Dominion (NYSE: D).

The sale agreement for the Catalina Solar 2 Project closed on June 30 when installation of the project was complete. The deal was announced in September 2014. EDF continued to manage the project through commissioning to place the project in service on July 22. Southern California Edison will purchase the output through a 20-year power purchase agreement.
