FENOC names Lieb, Boles to new positions

FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co. (FENOC), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE), named two to new positions with the company.
 
Raymond A. Lieb was promoted to senior vice president of Fleet Engineering at the Ohio headquarters, and Brian D. Boles will replace Lieb as site vice president of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant in Ohio.
 
Lieb will provide guidance and oversight of FENOC’s engineering organization in his new position. He started his career in operations at Tennessee Valley Authority’s Sequoyah nuclear power plant in 1993. He joined Beaver Valley’s operations group in 1996 and worked his way up to Director of Site Operations at the plant. He was promoted to site VP of Davis-Besse in 2012. Lieb earned his bachelo’s degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in engineering management from Old Dominion University.
 
Boles has served as vice president, Nuclear Support for FENOC since 2014. He started as an engineering technician at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in 1985, and held positions as manager of Nuclear Engineering, manager of Operations and manager of Outage Management at Perry before joining Davis-Besse in 2003 as manager of Nuclear Engineering. He was named Site Maintenance director, then Site Operations director in 2009. Boles earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Cleveland State University and obtained a senior reactor operator license at Perry nuclear plant.
