demand response system picked for Hydro Ottawa

Hydro Ottawa picked Opower (NYSE: OPWR) to develop a demand response solution in collaboration with the Ontario Ministry of Energy.

The system helps Hydro Ottawa customers to take steps to reduce their energy consumption during peak use hours on the hottest days. ComEd, BG&E and Glendale Water & Power are using Opower’s Behavioral Demand Response solution. It is expected to reach 1.5 million homes in 2015, double the previous year.
