Construction begins on 102-MW solar power project

SunPower Corp. (Nasdaq: SPWR) started construction on the 102-MW Henrietta Solar Project in California.
SunPower is building a SunPower Oasis Power Plant system, a fully integrated, modular solar power block designed to quickly deploy solar projects in a small land area. The plant will generate power for Pacific Gas & Electric ((PG&E, NYSE: PCG) under a long-term power purchase agreement.
The plant is scheduled for completion in late 2016.
