Companies team to develop low-cost carbon capture solution

CO2 Solutions Inc. signed a collaboration agreement with Ohio-based Cleveland Gas Systems LLC (GasTran) to strengthen key value propositions of CO2 Solutions’ carbon capture technology.
CO2 Solutions and GasTran will collaborate on bringing an advanced carbon capture solution to market. The solution combines CO2 Solutions’ non-toxic enzyme-enabled capture process and GasTran’s rotating packed bed (RPB) technology. Initial joint testing reportedly shows potential for capture equipment 20 times smaller than conventional equipment, which could reduce capital costs and increase the use of CO2 capture where space is a premium.
As part of the contract, GasTran will work exclusively with CO2 Solutions and provide RPB units for demonstration and commercial projects.
