 Ontario wind project enters into contract

Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. and Pattern Energy Group LP said a 100-MW wind power project in Ontario entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA).
 
The North Kent Wind project entered into a 20-year PPA with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). The project will employ approximately 200 workers on-site at the peak of construction and create 10 permanent jobs once operational at the end of 2017. Construction is expected to begin at the end of 2016.
