One-millionth solar PV module installed at Nevada power project

One million solar PV modules installed Copper Mountain 3

Cupertino Electric Inc. said workers installed the last of more than one million modules at Sempra U.S. Gas & Power and Consolidated Edison Development’s 250-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power project in Nevada.

Cupertino Electric and Amec Foster Wheeler are both installing the modules for the Copper Mountain Solar 3 project. Construction broke ground in early 2013 on the 1,400-acre, fixed tilt, ground-mount project. Sempra U.S. Gas & Power will provide operations and maintenance services.
