Company to provide natural gas to planned power plant

Interstate pipelines midstream pipelines Lackawanna Energy Center Pennsylvania UGI Utilities natural gas

UGI Utilities Inc., a subsidiary of UGI Corp. (NYSE: UGI), signed an agreement with Lackawanna Energy Center LLC to provide natural gas service to a planned natural gas-fired power plant in Pennsylvania.

UGI will upgrade 19 miles of existing pipeline and build approximately three miles of new pipeline. UGI will deliver natural gas to the plant through its infrastructure that is tied to interstate and midstream pipelines connected to Marcellus Shale wells.
